APPAREL GRAPHIC DESIGN | BRAND IDENTITY

CLIENT: TRUE Self

TRUE Self was founded by Yoshiki Nakajima who is a Japanese voice actor. The brand concept is to provide a piece of clothing for the quality of life and a new high-quality sophisticated style for yourself that is different from what you used to be. I was asked to create something playful and unique graphic design that incorporates stitch and print designs. I made a prominent stitch part with "Y" which is the initial letter of the brand producer's name.

LOGO BREAKDOWN

In creating the logo design for this long-sleeved T-shirt, I was asked to create a mix of stitch and print designs. When I received this offer, I came up with the idea of adding "playfulness", which is also the theory of this brand, to the design as one of the charms of this logo design. It is represented by a "Y" shape consisting of the letters U, inverted L, and part of E that are all from the brand's name "TRUE Self".

THE FINAL

The Long-sleeve T-shirt was shown on the TRUE Self YouTube LIVE. You will see the customer's testimonials as a comment on the chat of the video(unfortunately Japanese). This product sold out in one day.
